Gamma
Zeta Alpha Fraternity, Inc. is a Latino based Fraternity which was founded
in the Fall of 1987 at California State University, Chico by fifteen young,
diverse, and dedicated men that saw a need for an organization that would
uphold brotherhood and three principles they shared in common. Thus the
first Latino Fraternity on the westcoast was founded based on three principals:
academic excellence, community service, and maintenance of the Latino
culture.
Since 1987, eleven strong chapters have been established at
the leading universities of California. These chapters include San Jose
State University, University of California Berkeley, California State
University at Northridge, California State University at Fresno, San Diego
State University, University of California at Los Angeles, University
of California at Davis, Stanford University, University of California
at Santa Barbara, and California State University at Monterey Bay.
The Delta Chapter at California State University of Northridge was established
on December 3rd of 1993 by fifteen young Latino men who felt the need
to create an organization that met their needs. Through hard work and
dedication from our brothers, the Delta Chapter has become one of the
leading chapters of our Organization. In our ten years of existence our
brotherhood has expanded from the fifteen original founding fathers to
100 current members.
Gamma Zeta Alpha Fraternity, Inc. at California State University of Northridge
has always been very active within the community. We have several community
service activities every semester, and provide scholarships to incoming
college freshman every year. We truly believe in giving back to the community.
We are also a very active fraternity on campus, we have done several fundraising
events, are involved in intramural sports, and organize other events to
interact with other organizations on campus.
I In the years to come we are looking forward to expand our brotherhood
onto other campuses in the Southern and Northern regions of the United
States. |
