Information for Actives
The National Board of Directors would like to make this year's conference as smooth and efficient as possible. To facilitate this process, the Board has created this page to ensure that all actives are fully prepared to participate. Please refer to this page often as the rules, guidelines and information are subject to change as the event draws closer.
How do I register? Which event am I supposed to attend?
The first step that all actives must complete is online registration. Chapters are required to send at least 80% of their active members to the National Conference on Saturday.
The Gamma Leadership Conference on Friday is required for ALL members who comprise the chapters executive board- president, vice-president, secretary, treasurer, historian, sergeant at arms, and dean of membership education. This DOES NOT INCLUDE the chairs. In addition, all neos who crossed after October 2008 will be required to attend as well.
Is the Conference free for actives?
Once registration begins on June 1st, actives will have about a month to register for free for both conferences. After June 29, registration will become progressively higher as the conference approaches. See the registration page for a complete breakdown on late fees.
Do graduating seniors need to pay for the National Conference?
Graduating seniors will still be considered undergrads since their Spring 2009 registration fees went towards the conference.
Do all neos have to pay for the National Conference?
Only neos who crossed after Feb 15, 2009 will be required to pay for the conference as they were not included in the Spring 2009 registration fees. They will need to pay a $25 charge (plus additional registration fees) that does not change no matter when they register. Look for the ticket type: Special Neo Registration on the Eventbrite Registration page. Spring 2009 neos who register as actives will be removed from the list and they will need to re-register.
What about Inactives?
Inactive brothers will pay $40 (plus additional registration fees). A separate ticket type (inactive registration) has been created for these brothers on the Eventbrite page.
Which airport do I fly to? Where can I find nearby hotels?
Use the travel page as a reference for your lodging and travel needs. Book your flight and hotel reservations promptly as pricing and availability will change as the conference approaches.
Where are all the workshops/meetings located? What is the schedule?
Be sure to check the agenda page often and make note of any changes so you plan your day effectively. Use the campus map as a reference tool so that you may find your way around.
Will we need to provide our own lunch for either conference?
We will provide lunch on both days so that we can keep everyone together during the lunch break. Each morning, attendees will be given lunch vouchers at the conference registration desk.
Where are the Brotherhood events? Who can I contact?
Look over the time and place for the evening events in the socials page. Plan accordingly and make sure that you have reliable transportation. Tickets for the Conference party shall be given to brothers at the conference registration desk on Saturday morning during check in.
